What are the temps there? My broccoli and Brussels sprouts plants plants are about 18 or more inches high. They go right through the snow and frost with no problem. But, our ground doesn't freeze. That could make all the difference. They do grow so slow that they don't look like they're doing anything.
My Sprouting Broccoli plants are surviving OK, despite the very low temparatures. They are pretty hardy plants. Last year they endured minus 17C and still went on to produce a great crop.
Well, I have to say that I think whatever variety you guys are planting must be hardier than mine because when I went out to look today the two plants on the end that are just outside of the plastic have black leaves and are all wilted.
It is unseasonably wet, where I live.
