Good Day's Accomplishments

Good day bread
Good day pepperoni and cheese snacks
Good day pie shell. Every now an then they roll out nice and don't give me a bit of trouble. Today was the day.
Good day custard pie. Not sure what happened to the center. Phil says it has a belly button, lol.
I don't have a picture of the roast yet but it is ready and just waiting for mashed potatoes and supper time.

  6. Becky, thanks for letting me know my link didn't work. I fixed it (here it is http://arlene-thefoodoflove.blogspot.com/2009/11/perfect-make-ahead-turkey-gravy.html). Love your blog and will be visiting again.

  7. Becky,
I was so excited to find a blog on self sufficiency from someone in my neck of the woods (Martinez), I see we're both fans of Patrice Lewis, she is great. Your breads look delicious!

  9. Thanks Arlene, I really did want that recipe.
Hi Mary, the bread is really good, nice that you are so close, though I almost never leave Thomson.
The pepperoni and cheese snacks needed a little something. Just not enough flavor from the pepperoni and cheese. I think next time I might use red sausage and a more flavorful cheese.

  10. Becky,
I understand that, Thomson is beautiful! It is nice to read a blog where the gardener is in the same zone though, or to confirm that everyone but me doesn't live in the American Redoubt. Happy Thanksgiving!

  12. The bread did turn out really good and I was worried because the yeast was the first that I had used that I bought in a bulk 1 lb package off of Amazon but it worked just like a packet.
