Today's Harvest 5/2
Kale, spinach and turnip greens. This will be the last of the spinach. I will pull it out and plant something else. I haven't decided what I will put in its' spots yet. Maybe more beans but if the ones I planted in the flower garden come up, I should have plenty of beans. Still thinking on it.

You obviously like greens! :) So do I... Get some Daddy Salad in there while you do the thinking about the rest.
ReplyDeleteI really do like greens a lot but this only looks like a lot, it doesn't amount to much. A package of spinach, a package of kale and two of turnip greens.
ReplyDeleteI may just do that Daddy salad.
I have no idea what Daddy salad is. Hubby loves greens. I planted mustard greens and radishes but the weather isn't doing much to speed along their growth.
ReplyDeleteYou have to read Mark's post on Daddy Salad on his blog.
ReplyDeletelooks great! here in Kentucky, we're still getting kale but haven't had dry enough ground to plant any spinach...or anything else for that matter. and the broccoli plants put out before all the rains started are not looking good! :(
ReplyDeleteIn our last spring here in South Australia we all experienced bumper green crops. I ate so much spinach I still have a slightly green skin. I ended up blanching it and storing in the freezer. I might even make it all the way through to the next season.
ReplyDeleteI have started a self sufficiency challenge thought you might be interested.
