Another storm, another 20 hours without power. Just got it back on. It was 98 degrees today. It wasn't a real bad storm. No trees fell but we still lost power. I take it, they didn't fix it very good the last time. We still have no phone but somehow have Internet. Sitting next to the air and fan now, trying to finally get cool again.
Wow, that must have been a big storm! Sometimes we loose power too because of storms, which means that we also loose water (we collect rain water in a tank and use an electric pump to get it into the house) but rarely for such a long time as 20 hours.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely blog and I will follow you, since I like growing things, foraging and making at home everything I can!

When we lose power here in GA, it always takes a long time to get it back on again. The trees here are rooted in red clay and we almost never get any wind so when we do they break or fall easily. We never had this problem when we lived up North even with all the ice and snow.
ReplyDeleteThey have run city water way out here in the country for us so we never lose the water part.
yikes!! maybe we had it easier being without power for a couple of weeks due to a January ice storm. At least we had wood for heat. Not sure what I'd do to cool things down when it's that hot!!
ReplyDeleteI will be looking into getting another battery operated fan. We had one before but it didn't last long before it stopped working. Everything is made so cheaply now.
