Violin Playing Videos
I have now almost reached a year of taking violin lessons. Phil took a few videos while I was practicing today from his phone and I got them uploaded tonight. Merry Christmas everyone. I hope to have better videos next year.
This first one is Rosin, the Beau (Ireland) or Acres of Clams (US)
I am always just so enamored of watching people play a musical instrument and violin is one of my faves. I have tried, took piano, didn't get it, took guitar, didn't get it, took flute and didn't get it. I think you have to be born with some predispostion to understand music. Beautifully done, keep up the good work!
Hi Becky,Merry Christmas to you and faamily. Sound like an up and coming violinist. I tried it and got bored with it just after 3 weeks. I do like a good violin concert.
As I said above, as long as you understand that it is going to take a very long time, you don't get frustrated so fast. I also have wanted to be able to play violin again for a very long time, I think that keeps me motivated too. That and the fact that I just plain love it.
Hi Becky! Hope ya'll had a wonderful Christmas! That is beautiful violin playing! I'm so glad you shared it with us! I'm looking forward to hearing more soon! I haven't written a post in a long time! Maybe today's the day? Have a great day! Blessings from Bama!
I am not sure I would call my playing beautiful just yet, lol, but it is getting there. I will say this though, my appreciation for all types of music has definitely increased.

ReplyDeleteAnd Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Playing an instrument is a very LONG term goal. It takes about 5 years just to learn to play the violin--then more to sound really good.

DeleteI'll be thinking of you tonight as I watch Andre Rieu on TV! (If you don't know who he is, look him up...)
ReplyDeleteWell done for sticking with it!
Thank you Mark. I practice every day and really enjoy it.
