We have a lot of straight line winds here, so I would need a more permanent greenhouse.Felecia Cofieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13454535396468307243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2424703824657047654.post-66092420415117816122012-07-16T22:11:33.709-04:002012-07-16T22:11:33.709-04:00The Meyer lemon is in a pot. Everyone says the birds get them but I have never seen any birds in the trees, I think they just drop the fruit with our unpredictable weather.
As for the muscadines, only the two on the road produce fruit. I have heard that you need to add dolomitic limestone to the soil. I tried it one year and got a few grapes so that must be right.becky3086https://www.blogger.com/profile/01026872543168452124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2424703824657047654.post-60790715907306184792012-07-16T21:58:05.048-04:002012-07-16T21:58:05.048-04:00Hi Becky! I have a Meyer lemon tree planted in the ground, but the cold always gets it! It does'nt have any lemons on it, so I don't know what good it's doing me. The rose is beautiful!
Are you getting any figs this year? Mine are really big! I just pulled a basket full to make fig preserves tomorrow! I wonder why our muscadines don't have any fruit? Must be too much shade.
